My name is Tomi Szép, and I hold a master’s degree in illustration from KREA Design School. For my thesis project, I illustrated and designed the complete visual identity for Vilmos Csányi’s book A bábosok, including the associated POS materials. This project earned me the Golden Drawing Pin Prize.

I am currently working as an Art Director at Republic Group, one of the leading creative and advertising agencies. In my role, I’ve collaborated with numerous international and Hungarian brands, such as Hyundai, Mondelez, Garmin, Pilkington, Cerbona, Etele, Penny, and Allergan.

In addition to my professional work, I have participated in several notable projects. I was involved in The Budapester illustration project, which celebrated Budapest’s 150th anniversary, and I took part in the Font Front competition, where my type design was featured in the Font Front book. My experimental typeface, Latyó, was also included in Typographic Design in the 21st Century in Hungary book.

Moreover, I have contributed to high-profile projects, such as prop illustrations for the Dune: Prophecy series on Max. My expertise also extends to designing craft beer packaging and book covers for various clients.
